"Auto Dealer Puts a Diner on the Menu"

This was on the front page of today's Union Leader:

LIZ NELSON WASN'T working yesterday morning for the grand opening of the new diner at the Quirk Chevrolet Buick dealership on Manchester's South Willow Street, but she was there anyway and looking forward to her eventual first shift.

"It's new and I'm going to love it," Nelson said.

Nelson is one of a handful of clients from the Moore Center that will be staffing the small, 1950s-style diner that features chrome fixtures, neon lights and a breakfast and lunch menu of sandwiches, salads and desserts to serve the dealership's customers and 150 employees.

It is another triumph in the Moore Center's quest to help people with developmental disabilities find work, made possible by the initiative of one of the city's newest businessmen.
