Sleigh-Ride-Photo-Two-loOn March 4th Rising Stars went to Charmingfare Farm for a sleigh ride. I was not able to go however Nicole T. was my eyes and ears for this activity and let me know how the day went. Nicole said the sleigh ride was a “ton of fun”.  According to Nicole about 20 people showed up for the sleigh ride. Everyone met at the Eddy Road Moore Center building and took a bus to the farm where everyone stayed until about 6:00. During the ride they saw Christmas related decorations, the Grinch, cows, camels and a lynx. There were two sleighs used with 10people in each sleigh. The sleigh was driven by horses- they all had names but Nicole did not remember what they were. The weather was nice and not too cold. There was time after the sleigh ride to gather and have hot chocolate. Nicole would definitely like to make this an annual event if others also were interested.

We have been gearing up for our show in June – Dancing with the Rising Stars II. We have been practicing on Wednesdays – I am learning the Cha-Cha Slide.  It’s a work in progress- I need some more practice but am getting there. I know some people are working on the Macarena, some on a dance to the Beach Boys and to God Bless America. The show is in June –more specifics about the time and date and location will be in future stories.

Sunday March 29th is the Saint Patty’s day parade. Rising Stars will be part of this parade. Most people will be marching – look for our Rising Stars signs and I will be waving from the van. The parade starts at noon and we are hoping the weather cooperates for a good turnout!
