A new study published in Nature Genetics journal shows that the genetic risk that is associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder is a genetic risk that is present even in those of us who are not on the spectrum. These are genes that affect our social communication and our behavior, and it explains why someone without ASD who is biologically related to someone with ASD may have some of the same traits, even without a diagnosis.

This is interesting and important research that we hope to see more of in the future to promote a better understanding of autism.
